The Clean Vic

By Pie Recruitment

Has anyone else noticed that non-alcoholic drinks are starting to take over the industry, or is it just me? Everywhere I look I'm seeing advertising for the latest up and coming non-alcoholic drink brand and I'm starting to think I'm a bit obsessed with it all.

I love going to sit out in a pub garden on a sunny summer day, and I do love a glass of pink gin, but I don't always feel like drinking. Do you ever find yourself ordering an alcoholic drink because you're just too embarrassed to say ''I'll have a coke'', and then end up leaving your glass half full? Because I do! But with Sainsbury's new 'Clean Vic' it seems it certainly won't be a problem anymore!

What is 'Clean Vic' you ask? Sainsbury's are launching a 48-hour pop-up alcohol-free/ low alcohol volume pub this July, and us Brits have gone crazy for the event. £5 entry guarantee's you two drinks and some bar snacks, and you can pay for extra experiences such as mocktail making.

The market is seeing some tasty new brands arrive with the likes of Seedlip, Caleño and Ceder's, and even the biggest names in the alcoholic industry such as Heineken, Budweiser and San Miguel are creating their own 0% drinks. We are all searching for the ultimate healthy lifestyle, could this new trend be our answer?

Where do you stand with new cult? Are you slowly being recruited on-board or are you sticking by your fave real Gin & Tonic?

Sainsbury’s has announced it’s opening the UK’s first no and low alcohol pub in central London this summer. The pop-up pub, named The Clean Vic, will open on 24 July for two days in Holborn.
