So it's official, Marie Claire stops printing its magazine from November 2019 and moves to a digital-only platform.
I already know what you are thinking... what magazine will now be my holiday beach read? What am I now going to read in the beauty salon? Marie Claire is my go-to for both of these occasions, and not just because it distracts me from the lady causing my legs unbelievable pain, but it's actually a great read.
The magazine focuses less on trash gossip like 'I dumped my boyfriend because he fed my dog chicken behind my back WITH my sister' but, it focuses more on empowering women, discussing current affairs affecting us and shows us how to keep it classy (with a little addition of Hollywood's latest goss of course!)
It almost feels like the end of an era for me and I will be sad to see it move into the digital-only space. I never read magazines online, you just don't get the same feel as you do with the printed one, so I wonder will the November 2019 edition be the last Marie Claire I ever read?
Whilst the world is certainly adapting to an online world, and there are some great benefits off the back of this, I can't help feel a little heartbroken to see one of my favourite magazines go off the shelf and I think it needs to stay!
