Many people have their own opinions on the Kardashian/Jenner Clan (including myself) and controversy is never far away - however there is no denying how successful they have become.
Earlier this year Kylie Jenner was given her new status as the world's youngest self - made billionaire and this week she has sold a majority stake in her business 'Kylie Cosmetics' to beauty fragrance giants Coty for £463m - not bad for a 22 year old media personality eh!
Some people would question the notion that Jenner is 'self-made', claiming that her money is inherited from the success of Keeping up with the Kardashians.
However for me, someone who has built a company from the ground up and sold half of it to one of the biggest beauty companies in the world seems pretty self-made to me.
With Coty owning brands such as Max Factor, Rimmel and Clairol this is not only a good acquisition for Kylie. She has more than 151 million Instagram followers and is one of the most influential voices among beauty consumers globally which will no doubt help Coty's online outreach.
Not only that but for me, anyone that can become an overnight sensation for waking up their child saying 'Rise & Shine' is a big hit (I love annoying the office by shouting this out nice and early in the morning!)
So, you may not be a fan of the drama that surrounds the family - but surely you can agree she is indeed self-made.
Thoughts?
Together, Coty and Kylie will set and lead the strategic direction of the partnership, focusing on global expansion and entry into new beauty categories. Kylie and her team will continue to lead all creative efforts in terms of product and communications initiatives, building on her unrivalled global reach capabilities through social media.
