Every mistake listed is one to keep in mind, as they have been suggest by highly successful SDRs and Sales Leaders who I have spoken to over the last few years. Using AI is great, and mastering its usage makes you extremely efficient. The majority of my network is involved in selling or utilising artificial intelligence! But using it blindly is akin to trying to sell to a prospect in a monotonous, under-researched and dry tone. Reed.co.uk July Job Market Overview: The number of jobs posted on Reed.co.uk in July increased by +13% month-on-month (MoM), showing potential early signs of increased confidence in the market. Jobs posted were down by -10% year-on-year (YoY). The only sectors to see YoY increases were: Sales: +31% YoY Transport & Logistics: +7% YoY Education: +5% YoY Hospitality & Catering: +3% YoY Applications were up +4% MoM and +21% YoY in July The majority of regions across the UK saw YoY and MoM growth in applications. The East Midlands and Northern Ireland both saw MoM dips by -6% and -7% respectively. 'Can we talk about the economic state of UK staffing right now?' This UK recruitment downturn looks set to last 📉 "Net income fee is down YoY 14% Robert Walters, 15% Hays and 16.7% Page Group. Forecasts have been declining all year. Share prices have been heading broadly south since the post-Covid-19 hiring bulge." If costs stays the same, profit drops. Which could mean big redundancies in the market. You need a lower cost of carry whilst driving revenue. 💷 Instead of periods of large hiring and firing companies should seek to improve efficiency. Companies should look at strategies to improve data 📊 Better data can improve search results, which can reduce time to hire and job advertising spend. It can improve marketing and new business efforts as well as ability to leverage third parties and AI to drive more revenue. Finally, it's important for effective reporting and analytics. Which can lead to improved decision making and scalable growth. To improve data you need the right CRM, user adoption strategy and validation processes. You need it to be tailored to your service offerings and verticals. You need it to reinforce your proven processes that make your business successful. How are you improving your data?

Recruiters – phase progression is essential for cold calling mastery. Because each phase of your call should be designed to get you to the next phase. Where the call is broken down into mini objectives (aligned with each phase.) So although your primary objective may be to book a follow up meeting. Your first objective is actually to make a good enough first impression that the prospect gives you 30 seconds of their time. And once you’re “earned” those 30 seconds, your next objective is to pique their interest enough to earn another 60 seconds. Leading to your next mini objective: to earn 3 minutes (where the call becomes an actual conversation.) Which is when you have a strong likelihood of being able to achieve your primary objective: booking that follow up meeting. So start thinking about your cold call in the form of phase progression. And align your talk tracks super tightly to each mini objective. Meaning it becomes really easy to identify where your calls are falling down. Enabling you to zero in on your biggest leverage points. Which ensures continuous improvement (and eventual cold calling mastery.)
