With the Euros looming on Saturday, the youngest England Football team for 56 years are ready to take to the field for another summer of expectation and hopefully some form of achievement.
With the immense TV build up, it is easy to forget the England Rugby side. Our current European Champions are taking to the test field cauldron in Australia on the very same day.
Eddie Jones, like Roy Hodgson, has a vast pool of refreshingly young, strong, test class players with an average squad age of 24. Three wins in Australia since the dawn of time (although one may have been the small matter of world cup final in 2003!) is a test of the tallest order for his youthful team.
I am excited by the Rashfords, Diers, Alli's of the football team endearing themselves to the British public through, sheer skillful exuberance against Europe's elite.
However, the immense pressure an England rugby side gets from a nation, hell bent on sending our boys packing, bloodied and bruised, back to pommie land is something just as (if not more) exciting for me.
The passion to wear the Rose, grit & sheer power of the youth in our Rugby squad in, Maro Itoje, Marland Yarde, Jack Nowell, Owen Farrell, George Ford & Billy Vunipola, is something I am personally relishing watching.
The future is looking bright. What a summer of sport we have on offer - and what a fantastic time to be English. Surely we can make this one a summer to remember? Come on the boys! #3lions #carrythemhome
Eddie Jones claims he has picked a side to play "physical and aggressive rugby" for the first Test against the Wallabies in Brisbane on Saturday as the England head coach confirmed this morning that Owen Farrell will make his first start at fly-half under his tenure.
