#10YearChallenge
I’m sure you’ve seen the latest #10yearchallenge across your social media feeds & all over the news. But for those of you who don’t know, it’s where you post a picture of yourself ten years ago alongside a recent photo to broadcast how great you look now & that you haven’t aged a day...
Anyway, it got me thinking.
Firstly, there’s no way I’ll be posting a photo of me from ten years ago.
BUT secondly, this could be switched up to be about more than just pure vanity. Hear me out on this one.
How about changing it up to #10yearcareergoalschallenge?
Let me give you an example. 10 years ago, I was leaving school, had no real idea what I wanted to do, and I worked at Thorpe Park. But my 10 year plan - although vague - was that I wanted to be in a job that I enjoyed, where I was doing well and could see myself building a career in an industry that I loved. Back then I wanted that to be in Law, but goal posts change & now I’m building my career in the Automotive market (which I love BTW).
Now it’s your turn. Where did you want to be in your career 10 years ago? Have you accomplished it? Have you done a 180 and completely changed direction? Are you now in an industry you love by accident? OR…is it time for a change?
Let us know your #10yearcareergoalschallenge
What is the 10 year challenge? The 10 year challenge goes by many names: the #HowHardDidAgingHitYou challenge, the aging challenge and #GlowUp challenge, though the trend has picked up the most speed as the 10 year challenge. Participants simply post two images - usually side by side - which were taken at least ten years apart. The overall message? Self love and showing the world how you've "glowed up" (or, you know, showing how you haven't aged a day).
