Could this really be it for the Smart Car? I for one hope not.
As a lover & an owner of a Smart Car ForFour, I definitely don't want to see the brand disappear (even though I may be a little biased). The brand has always had the Marmite effect - you either love them or hate them. If you're a hater, have you seen the new EQ4? The look of this new model will certainly turn heads, but even if you don't find it aesthetically pleasing, maybe the specs will do it for you:
- 310 mile range
- 0-62mph in 3.9 seconds (not minutes I can hear people saying)
- And to top it all off... It has 5 seats!
The new EQ4 is being touted as a rival to the Tesla model 3, but let's be honest, the brand needs saving first.
The Smart Car brand provides a great niche in the market - they were one of the first automotive brands to make their entire range electric & they'll be ending all petrol production by April 2019, which is something to shout about.
