No, this is not about drinking yourself into oblivion during your time off over Christmas, but there's good news if you are travelling to see friends and family over the festive period. Highways England have announced that they will be completing or lifting over 800 miles of road works on either motorways or A roads over the Christmas period from Friday 20th December.
Great news if you have planned to travel with the kids or family and have bulked out your playlists, or have an itinerary of "Eye Spy", "Yes or No", "Would You Rather" and an office favourite "Snog, Marry, Avoid". A full list of road clearances is available on their website.
Highways England has stated that 98% of motorways and A roads will be free of roadworks, which is a great result and will save a lot of family arguments and fallouts.
Travel safe this Christmas and here's a good game to play in the car... would you rather have to eat only Brussels sprouts for the rest of your life, or have carrots for fingers?
Merry Christmas!
