Now even your engine can send you a text!

By Pie Recruitment

Verizon has created a new diagnostics system giving fleet managers alerts in real time, making them aware of any potential problems on their vehicles. This is ramping up the game within the telematics world as technology seems to be evolving at a Formula 1 pace.

These days we've got cars that are autonomous, cars that speak to us and now an engine giving us real-time updates of any issues that occur. Diagnostic plugin machines already make us aware of issues, however these are dependent on noticing when a light on the dash flashes. This consequently means more time off the road to investigate - ultimately meaning loss of time and money.

I personally love where the industry is heading - these new technologies are enabling fleets to be on the road more, therefore saving businesses money. This type of technology has been used by Formula 1 for many years now, so a move into a more mainstream application is amazing.

Who doesn't want a piece of this?
