It's never TOO late

By Pie Recruitment

When I was younger, my dream wasn’t to one day become a nurse or an astronaut, all I wanted to be was an artist. I loved drawing & being creative and I thought one day I would grow up to be the next Pablo Picasso or Andy Warhol. I carried this dream through my school years and on to University where I went on to study Textiles…but *sigh* that’s when socialising and nights out took over my life and that dream slowly started to fade.

Three years later, I was 21 years old, with an average BA(Hons) degree & reality hit me in the face, HARD. I needed a job and being an artist just wasn’t going to cut it at that moment in time.

I came across this article and it’s inspiring. It really does go to show that it is never too late to follow your dreams and to never give up no matter what.

Fast forward seven years and I haven’t hung up my creative hat for good just yet. I’ve done a handful of craft fayres, upcycled furniture & made gifts for friends & family (whether they like it or not). Thankfully, I now work in a job where I can be creative on a daily basis & I love it!

What dreams did/do you have & how are you turning these into reality?

Do you want to write a book? Do you dream of swimming the English Channel or climbing Mount Everest? Do you want to catch a train from one end of China all the way through Russia? Do you want to start your own business and build your empire? Whatever your dream is don’t give up on it: it’s never too late to turn it from fantasy into reality.
